YouTube Shopping with Amazon arrives in Brazil: what changes for brands and creators

For a long time, the path from discovering a product in a video to buying it was long: watch, search for the link in the description, open another page, compare, and only then purchase. Between September 21 and 27, 2026, YouTube announced a series of features that shorten that path. In the same week, ChatGPT Ads expanded its international presence and Nuvemshop released settings that directly affect delivery times, shipping and cash flow for Brazilian stores.

Here is what was announced, what already applies to Brazil, and what makes sense to test first.

Amazon products in YouTube Shopping

YouTube confirmed that Brazilian creators will be able to tag Amazon products in long-form videos, Shorts and live streams. When someone buys through a tag, the creator earns a commission. The Brazil rollout is expected in the coming weeks, as part of an affiliate program expansion that should reach 35 countries by the end of the year.

An important detail: offers may change based on the viewer's location. The same video can show one product to viewers in Brazil and another to viewers elsewhere.

According to the platform itself, product tags receive more than double the clicks of links placed in the description. This is YouTube's own data, so treat it as a reference, not a guarantee.

For anyone already producing reviews, tutorials or comparisons, this opens a new revenue stream that does not depend only on sponsorships. The caution is not to turn the channel into a storefront. The product must relate to the content's subject and appear being genuinely used.

A good start is three videos, each featuring a different product, measuring tag clicks, orders, commission and revenue per video. Views alone do not tell whether the format generated business.

An AI answering questions inside the ad

Google introduced the Business Agent, an AI agent that appears next to YouTube ads with a product catalog. While watching, people can ask about size, compatibility, conditions or the brand itself without leaving the video.

Access is still limited, through an interest form, and there is no confirmation of when it will reach Brazil. In the same update, vertical ads in Shorts and image ads in Gmail now take users to the advertiser's site in one tap.

Even without a date, it pays to prepare. An agent only answers well if the information exists and is clear. Many stores still leave delivery times, warranties, returns and spec sheets scattered across different pages, or simply never publish them. The result is weak answers and suspicious customers.

The practical exercise: pick one product, list the ten questions that come up most before purchase, and check whether the website answers all of them clearly. This foundation serves the conversational ad, customer service and SEO alike.

YouTube will test the video opening

Today it is already possible to compare titles and thumbnails on YouTube. The next step, announced for 2027, is testing up to three versions of the same video to find out which opening keeps more people watching. The platform also introduced dynamic thumbnails, suggestions for older videos, draft analysis and conversational editing with Gemini in Shorts and YouTube Create. The rollout schedule for Brazil has not been announced.

This changes how content is produced. Instead of choosing the hook by personal taste, teams will be able to compare promises and pacing with retention data. But a warning is warranted: the opening that hooks the most does not always attract the right audience. If it promises something the video does not deliver, retention drops right after and the comments show the frustration.

You can start now, without waiting for the feature: track retention in the first 30 seconds and record two alternative openings for your most important videos.

ChatGPT Ads passes 60 countries

OpenAI brought ChatGPT Ads to seven more Asian markets, and the platform now operates in more than 60 countries, including Brazil.

The same week, a case study from Talkpal, a language learning app, was released. The company reported 26% higher return and a 51% lower cost per trial activation compared with a native channel used as a benchmark. The numbers were provided by the advertiser itself and use last-click attribution. On top of that, it is an AI company talking to an audience that already uses tools like ChatGPT, which helps the result.

So the case serves as a hypothesis, not a promise. To test it, start with a controlled budget, an offer that matches the kind of questions people ask ChatGPT, and full tracking, from click to revenue.

Nuvemshop: more control over shipping and unpaid orders

For Brazilian stores, the most immediate news came from Nuvemshop, with three updates already available:

  • automatic cancellation of unpaid orders after three or seven days;
  • shipping restrictions by ZIP code range, from plan B upward;
  • cut-off time, additional handling time and express delivery in custom shipping options, at no extra cost.

It sounds like an operations topic, but it affects marketing directly. A wrong delivery time at checkout hurts conversion. A region with expensive shipping eats into margin. Unpaid orders sitting for days hold inventory and pollute the sales report.

With Black Friday approaching, now is the time to review the ZIP codes that cause problems, the delivery time shown at checkout and the rule for pending orders. Before increasing media investment, the store needs to be sure it can deliver what it promises.

Quick radar

  • Shopify: Rollouts now lets you test changes to the theme, checkout and customer account, choosing the percentage of traffic and checking for conflicts. Plan availability is still unclear.
  • Ask YouTube: the platform announced an assistant that answers product questions during the video and builds comparisons. The first release will be limited.
  • Meta: Connect 2026 was dominated by smart glasses and the Muse agent, with no marketing news of immediate application in Brazil.

Where to start

The week made it clear that content and commerce are growing closer. Creators can prepare their first videos for YouTube Shopping. E-commerce teams can organize catalogs and FAQs for ads that converse with customers. Stores on Nuvemshop should adjust delivery times, ZIP codes and cancellations before the sales peak.

No need to do everything at once. Pick one test, define the metric and record the result. A novelty only becomes an advantage when you know how to operate it with confidence.
